Princeton Area SCORE Announces Counseling Services in Trenton

As Chapter Secretary for the Greater Princeton Area Chapter of SCORE, Counselors to America's Small Business, I applaud the efforts of my chapter and the DeRosa Group for advancing the cause of the small business community in Trenton.

The Greater Princeton Area SCORE Chapter is expanding its capacity to provide free and confidential advice and counseling to small business owners and people seeking to start a new business.

Starting November 10 and continuing every two weeks, SCORE will be conducting small business counseling sessions at
354 South Broad St in Trenton. The Urban Business Accelerator at 354 S Broad is a new executive suite resource center that provides office space, ongoing support, and an empowering environment for small businesses. SCORE's counseling services provide individual counseling to small businesses or those wanting to establish a small business. Counseling sessions are conducted by 2 volunteer counselors who are experienced business people. All sessions are free of charge and entirely confidential. The hour-long sessions are scheduled by appointment and will be held from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Appointments are made by calling SCORE at 609-393-0505.

SCORE currently provides counseling at a number of locations in Mercer and Middlesex counties, including Princeton, New Brunswick, South Brunswick, Hamilton, and East Brunswick. In announcing the establishment of counseling in Trenton, Bill Litchman, Chapter Chair & President, explained, "For some years, SCORE provided counseling services to Trenton entrepreneurs and small businesses, but was forced to leave those premises. After a long search for suitable space, The DeRosa Group offered SCORE an ideal venue to restart our services in Trenton. We look forward to working with clients in Trenton and are happy to be back in this burgeoning metropolis and delighted to be partnering with The DeRosa Group working together for the renaissance of Trenton.”

Litchman added, "We very much appreciate DeRosa’s offer to donate the space and resources to allow us to expand our services. Over the past few years we've doubled our counseling capacity to meet the growing demands of the small business community during these difficult times. We feel that there is a strong need for our services in the Trenton community and are eager, along with The DeRosa Group, to make a contribution to urban entrepreneurship and economic development in Trenton."
